Since its initial release in 2000, Ridley Scott’s epic movie Gladiator has influenced a wide variety of genres, from music, over TV shows, to the world of online casino slots. Among his wide range and arsenal of weapons, Gladiator will use the Gladiator helmet as Wild symbol, which can substitute for all other symbols but the Coliseum Scatter, which will in turn activate the game’s bonus feature. The Gladiator also holds a secret weapon, the progressive jackpot.
The Wild symbol, the gladiator helmet will trigger the Gladiator bonus if you land 3 helmets on the reels 2, 3 and 4. The game will then take you to a separate screen with 9 gold, silver and bronze helmets, where each helmet is worth a certain cash prize, all are added up and awarded to you. 9 gold helmets can get you this big progressive jackpot.

It’s a 10/10 slot game. It looks good and it pays good. I have also played the betsoft’s version of gladiator which is 30 lined but nothing as compared to the playtech’s version being reviewed here. Playtech gladiator’s progressive jackpot can make a huge win for the players though it’s difficult to obtain and I never saw it during my one month’s career lol.
There are other many things to consider. The coliseum bonus is awesome. It offers 4 extra features but initially triggered with three scatter symbols. When I began playing gladiator I was frequently having two scatter symbols together, giving a small amount of win every time but landing three of them seemed too difficult at that time and it is difficult but the wins that you get are worth the time after which you trigger the coliseum.
Best wins are still in the base game where 20x is normal and is amazing at the stakes that I choose. All I know is that gladiator is among the best slot games of all time because its wins always covered the losing streaks that I had. Besides I also had 3 to 4 consecutive wins many times. So that’s why I find it 10/10.
Playtech slot game gladiator is based on one of the best hollywood movies of all time. I loved the movie and expected the same from the slot. Lol I didn’t expected love. I wanted to earn money.

I loved the drum beats played at the starting of the game. It reminded of the class of the movie itself. It was also good to see the real characters on the game screen in front. Joaquin Phoenix’s reaction after one of the wins definitely made me saw the movie once again but no lol no time for that the slot was enough for me. Graphics were altogether good.
Two main things that I noticed in gladiator are not in favour of the players but I should mention them. One is that the bonuses are very difficult to trigger and secondly the game follows streaks. A losing season ends and the winning season begins. Lol that’s true with this game as I found. But luckily the wins are good here and once in a while when you get the gladiator bonuses it will make the day.
The game itself continues to advertise its features. I liked to saw the 5000 coin win option on top of the screen and this frequently appears over there. Anyways it can be achieved by getting 5 emperor Commodus symbols or 5 portraits of Joaquin Phoenix. I got maximum of 2.
Overall, gladiator is undoubtedly nice, good looking and a good paying slot game. But unlike the 10/10 movie, I would rate this 7.
